About Me

I am a person with (too) many interests who has lived most of my life in Mni Sota Makoce (Dakota: land where the waters reflect the sky) with my family's roots in México. I have been passionate for art my entire life, going from crayons to oil paint (and occasionally back to crayons). I think a lot about the connections between social structures and my artwork, often considering systems of power and artistic vision as being interactive pieces that affect a viewer's (and artist’s) experience in constant exchange.

My artwork is not easily defined due to the wide range of media and content that I portray, but a shared human connection is an underlying theme across my work. I consider it a success when folks can see part of themselves reflected in my art and that someone is in solidarity with them.
