Zines and Comics
Zine is short for magazine, though they are usually a little more rough-around-the-edges and handmade classics. I got into making zines more recently, both as projects in support of a cause (such as Housing Justice) or simply because I wanted to collage some vignettes with my sketches of people together (as in Beautiful People 1 and 2, which I will be uploading soon). They are fun to put together and page through, and are a relatively new form of artistic expression for me.

Comics for me, as with much of my art, are things I come back to every now and again when an idea that has been ruminating for a while comes to the surface. I take my inspiration from wherever I can- the idea for Sharks at Costco actually came from a friend who dreamed I wrote a comic with the title, and so I ran with it!
