FERRAYA

I have so many memories growing up of food-related things that stuck with me- my favorite book was about a monkey obsessed with spaghetti, and I was bizarrely envious of the vacuum cleaner in the Teletubbies (Noo Noo) because it got to eat all the food that fell on the floor, among other things.  These days, I settle mostly for food not off the floor, and I am always excited to get into a cooking or baking project.  After getting into watercolors and I particularly focused this into food paintings, though I do have food-related art in other media.  My goal with these is to convey the art of making good food, and capturing the wonderful aesthetic of something delicious that almost anyone can appreciate, or sometimes putting food in bizarre and unexpected contexts.
